Externship Opportunities
Now that you're hopefully in veterinary school, one question may still remain. What kind of vet do you want to be? For those of you who are still figuring out what veterinary career path to take, this is what externships are for. Externships are experiential learning opportunities that are provided through partnerships with educational institutions and employers to give students practical and short experiences in their field of study. This way, you're able to get a taste of the different veterinary fields and determine which one is the best fit for you.

After getting a taste of the many different vet careers through the externships, it will be time for you to prepare for the North American Veterinary Licence Examination (NAVLE). This exam is very important because the only way for you to become a licensed vet in the United States, Mexico, and Canada is by passing the NAVLE. The test is a culmination of everything you've learn in vet school. There are 360 questions on this exam and the topics/species being touched on include:
